The term commercial development can conjure up various images, depending on your experiences and market operations, we have therefore tried to offer a cross section of our recent site and experiences and a sample of the construction methods involved.
We were commissioned by this rapidly expanding client to take on board a design and build project to enhance a tired and dilapidated solid brick 1970’s type structure and bring it into the current age. The building was completely stripped to the shell, with significant structural alterations. We then installed bespoke glazed partition systems and staircases. New aluminium doors and windows, external wall insulation system (EWI). Raised access floors throughout and suspended ceilings. High specification finishes, all as per our interior designers proposals. The mechanical and electrical systems were designed and installed by Simplicity Construction to ensure energy efficiency for the long term vision of the business.
We also provided a new build storage unit adjacent and car parking and ramped access routes from such.

Norfolk Park CRM
We carried out this fast track refurbishment of a Halls of Residence common room, which including minor alterations and the introduction of vibrant colours and fit out to provide the students with a cinema room and break space. The project was tendered open book with a negotiation of the rates to ensure that the client could achieve everything that they desired, for the budgets available. There was also a significant amount of on site design and negotiation, with the clients interior designer, with the end result been a stunning area, achieved in a very short time scale.

We were appointed by this well-known local business, after it had decided that the best route to develop their growing order book was to extend and develop their current property as its greatest assets, its staff, needed to remain close by. Se we took on board a design and build project to carry out a full structural appraisal of the existing structure. This then received a full lift of new structure, taking the current building to two storeys. We then provided a traditional two storey brick extension on an extensive raft construction, timber deck roof and single ply membrane roof. Mechanical, plumbing and electrical installations, new internal wall, floor and ceiling finishes.
A significant amount of the work to raise the building was taken out of hours or had to be significantly co-ordinated as the client was not in the position of ceasing their operation to facilitate our works.
Overall this was a very difficult project for all parties and the fact that we are still talking today, is testament to everyone’s will for the project to succeed

We were appointed by a knowledgeable Interior Designer, to create a facelift for a well-known M&E company in Sheffield, its staff needed to remain close by so we offered to carry out these works on an out of hours basis which meant that the whole project would run stress-free for the staff working within the premises on a day to day basis. . The works included creating a chilled out Break Out area in the staff canteen with a curved, raised platform area, a full decoration and a full graphic design package which made the workplace into this fun, relaxed environment. We were also asked to carry out additional works within the Sheffield office to create some storage spaces in Bespoke style storage cupboards in a light grey laminate finish which the client was delighted with the outcome of.
